Good Service?
For those people who still do not know where exactly im working at, Im actually working at Chai Chee Techno Park. Right across this industrial estate...
There is a small coffee shop, that is always patronized by workers from across. The coffee shop is never vacant or quiet. From early morning all the way till evening. Its always busy. So business would be good rite?
Just a few days back, i had late lunch meeting with my boss. It was about 3pm. There wasnt much of the lunch crowd left. Only a few people left.. I made my way to the Roti John stall to order my food..
As i was waiting for my food, There was an old lady (Grandma) about late 70s. Petite and looking very fragile. She was going to order her food, from the " NASI CAMPUR" ( mix rice) stall beside.
But Before she could even order, The owner of the stall, a chinese lady, was screaming at the Grandma. She was yelling and asking her order.
" Eh aunty, wat u want?? Wat fish, wat??"
I was just looking at the whole scene, for a while, i thought the Grandma is begging for food, as always. ( Maybe the reason y the chinese lady is pissed off)
But after about 5 mins of yelling and finally taking the order of the old woman. The Chinese woman, keyed in her cash machine and asked for $4. 5o.
the old lady , was fumbling with her small purse, trying to take out her cash, checking for the right note ( Just like my late grandma used to do)
But before the old Grandma could even pass the cash,
The Owner........ started yelling again " eh, U ok or not? $4 la!! Just Take out the $5. i'll pass u back the balance" And the owner just pulled out the cash from the Granma's purse.
My heart sanked.... I was Really so Sad and pissed!
, I wanted to Say( Yelled) something to the owner..... but, i cant! My food is ready.... and i've to attend a meeting. That incident kept playing and flashing in my Mind. I just feel so sad.
How could anyone one treat a human being like tat? Imagine if its our Grandma, Or even Worse......... One day We will all grow old, Would We like to be treated Tat way?
After listening to the incident, All my Colleagues Stopped Eating From that stall. So wat if there isnt much Muslim Stall around? There's always other alternative places to go.
